Neurodivergent-Affirming Allied Health Approach - Adults and Teens
ND Health Hub provides allied health support that is:
ND-affirming and trauma-informed
Designed for adult + teen neurodivergent lives
Flexible, practical and realistic
Delivered via telehealth across Australia
Our team works together to deliver personalised, coordinated care that supports emotional, cognitive, and physical wellbeing.
-
Support for daily life, capacity and systems
OT at ND Health Hub focuses on helping autistic, ADHD and AuDHD adults + teens function better for themselves, not to appear more neurotypical.
We can help with:
Executive functioning (planning, initiation, follow-through)
Burnout, capacity building and energy management
Sensory processing and environmental supports
Work, study and daily living systems
NDIS functional assessments and reports (where applicable)
What makes our OT different:
Strengths-based and consent-led
No behaviour charts or forced strategies
Built around your actual life demands
The therapy focuses on overall well-being—mental, physical, and social health—by using person-centred, strength-based approaches. The goal is to create a supportive, inclusive environment where individuals can fully participate in their chosen activities and roles.
-
Neurodivergent-affirming nutrition — without food shame or rigid rules
Our dietitians understand that nutrition is deeply impacted by sensory needs, interoception, executive functioning, medication and burnout.
We can help with:
Sensory-based food challenges and restricted eating
Meal planning that works with ADHD and fatigue
Supporting nutrition + gut health alongside autism, ADHD and AuDHD
Support to build sustainable eating patterns and avoid energy crashes.
Gentle nutrition approaches (no diet culture)
ARFID-informed and ND-affirming support
What makes our Dietetics different:
No pressure to eat “normally”
Respect for safe foods and food routines
Practical strategies that fit real capacity
Many ND humans struggle with energy levels and fatigue. On top of the many environmental and cognitive reasons why we fatigue easier, poor nutrition and a lack of well balanced diet may be contributing to that afternoon “crash”. Seeing a dietitian can help with improved energy and wellbeing through tailored, ND-friendly nutrition strategies.
-
Communication support for adults — beyond childhood models
Speech Pathology at ND Health Hub supports communication, self-advocacy and interaction in ways that honour neurodivergent communication styles.
We can help with:
Social communication and interaction
Assertive communication and boundary-setting (including conflict resolution in a professional or romantic relationship).
Understanding communication breakdowns
Workplace and relationship communication
Neurodivergent identity-affirming support
Meet your social needs in a safe, judgment free space, talking to a fellow ND human.
What makes our Speech Pathology different:
No masking-based goals
Adult-focused, not child-centred
Communication as a two-way responsibility
By addressing these areas, speech pathologists play a vital role in guiding neurodivergent individuals through their unique challenges, empowering them to thrive in their personal, professional and social lives.
-
Movement, pain and body support — adapted for ND needs
Our physiotherapy services consider sensory needs, fatigue, coordination differences and chronic pain commonly experienced by neurodivergent adults.
We can help with:
Chronic pain and fatigue
Hypermobility, including including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and joint support
Movement confidence and body awareness
Gentle, sustainable movement strategies
Nervous-system-informed approaches
What makes our Physio different:
No push-through-pain mindset
Flexible, paced approaches
Sensory-considerate movement support
The key advantage of working with our physiotherapists is that you’ll receive care from professionals who understand your unique neurotype. With lived experience and a deep understanding of your needs, our team creates an environment where you feel understood and supported, ensuring you're speaking the same language.
